Course Description Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) is rapidly evolving beyond its traditional focus on retrospective and concurrent queries. As healthcare organizations face increasing regulatory scrutiny, payer complexity, value-based reimbursement, artificial intelligence–driven technologies, and heightened expectations for documentation accuracy, CDI programs must become more proactive, integrated, and data-driven. This webinar explores the next generation of CDI and how organizations can expand beyond the query process to improve documentation quality, strengthen compliance, reduce denials, and support accurate reimbursement. Participants will learn how CDI professionals can play a broader role by partnering with physicians, coding, health information management, quality, compliance, and revenue cycle teams to promote complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation throughout the patient care journey. The session will examine emerging CDI strategies, including early documentation review, provider education, workflow optimization, audit preparedness, risk adjustment support, and quality reporting initiatives. It will also discuss how technology, analytics, and artificial intelligence are reshaping CDI workflows while reinforcing the importance of clinical judgment and interdisciplinary collaboration. Attendees will leave with practical insights and actionable strategies to modernize their CDI programs, improve operational efficiency, enhance documentation integrity, and position their organizations for long-term success in an increasingly complex healthcare environment.
