Amber Price, CPC, CPB, CPMA is a distinguished Medical Policy and Coding Specialist with more than 30 years of comprehensive experience across clinical settings, payer operations, national consulting, and higher education. A published author and educator, she has established a proven track record in revenue cycle optimization, clinical documentation improvement, and regulatory compliance auditing.
Currently, Amber serves as a Medical Policy Analyst for the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (Medicaid). In this role, she helps safeguard the integrity of state healthcare policy through the strategic analysis of payment methodologies, regulatory changes, and fraud, waste, and abuse prevention. A trusted authority in her field, Amber is responsible for developing and maintaining the official billing and coding guidelines published by Utah Medicaid.
