Presenter: Keisha Wilson, CHC, CCS, CPC, CPCO, CPMA, CRC, CPB, AAPC Approved Instructor Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2026 Time: 1 pm ET | 12 pm CT | 11 am MT | 10 am PT Duration: 60 minutes Course Description Telehealth has evolved from a temporary pandemic-era solution into a permanent and increasingly technology-driven component of healthcare delivery. In 2026, organizations must navigate changing Medicare telehealth flexibilities, evolving compliance expectations, cross-state practice considerations, HIPAA requirements, and growing scrutiny of documentation and billing. This webinar provides a practical update on the current telehealth compliance landscape while connecting those requirements directly to Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding, documentation, and reimbursement. Attendees will examine how place of service, modifier -95, medical decision making, time-based billing, and diagnosis coding can affect the defensibility of telehealth E/M claims. The session will also explore emerging developments shaping the future of telehealth. Recent federal Rural Health Transformation Program investments—including $149.3 million announced for Arkansas—are expanding specialty telehealth, remote patient monitoring, emergency teleconsultation, advanced imaging, digital health infrastructure, and technology-enabled care in rural communities. These investments demonstrate how rapidly telehealth is moving beyond simple virtual visits toward integrated, technology-supported care delivery. Through real-world examples, common denial scenarios, and audit-focused insights, participants will learn how to identify documentation gaps, coding risks, technology-related compliance concerns, and opportunities to strengthen telehealth workflows. Attendees will leave with practical strategies and a compliance-focused checklist to evaluate telehealth E/M documentation, coding, billing, and operational practices for the remainder of 2026 and beyond.
